Chicken with garbanzo beans/chickpeas

Ingredients
1 kg Chicken
1 tbsp Salt (or according to taste)
1/4 tsp Tumeric (Haldi) powder
1 tblsp Red Chilli (Lal Mirch) powder
2 med Onions
1 can (540ml) Garbanzo beans
1 tblsp Ginger paste
1 tblsp Garlic paste
1/4 tsp Garam Masala
1/3 cup Oil
2 med Tomatoes
2 small green chilles/thai chillies
a bunch Coriander leaves/Cilantro
Steps
1. Fry onions in oil until it turns brown, set aside a handful to be used later
2. Add ginger, garlic, chicken and fry for a 2-3 minutes at med-high flame
3. Add salt, chilli powder, tumeric and tomatoes and fry until tomatoes start to make paste.
4. Cover and cook on med heat until meat is semi-tender, add some water if needed
5. Add garbanzo beans and cook until chicken is tender and beans are soft
6. Mix in garam masala and green chillies and turn off the stove
7. Garnish with coriander leaves and fried onions from step #1
8. Serve with naan
