Keema Shimla (Ground Beef with Bell Peppers)

Ingredients

Oil 6-8 Tbsp
Coriander/Cilantaro A handful, washed and chopped up
Capsicums/Green Bell Pepper 1 (Cut in big slices)
Onions 1 (Sliced Finely)
Ground Beef 2 Lbs
Tomatoes 2-3 (Cut into cubes)
Chilli Powder 1-2 tsp
Garlic Pod(s)/Cloves 3-4 pieces
Ginger Root 1 Inch piece
Turmeric Powder 1/4 tsp
Salt 1 tsp. or according to taste

Preparation

1 Blend the ginger and garlic pieces and set them aside
2 Fry onion a little bit in a deep pot and add the ground beef
3 Stir and add the tomatoes
4 Add the chilli powder, salt and turmeric
5 Stir in the blended ginger & garlic mixture
6 Cook on medium heat
7 Keep stirring
8 Add the capsicum/green bell pepper
9 Garnish with coriander/cilantaro
10 Serve hot with chappatti or naan or paratha or pita bread
