Aaloo Murgh (Potatoes with Chicken)

Onions 1 (Sliced thin)
Oil 2-4 tbs
Potatoes 6 (medium, cut into four pieces each)
Tomatoes 2 (Chopped in cubes)
Green Chilli(es) 4 (Cut in thin circles)
Chicken Whole 1 (Cut into Curry pieces)
Water 1 1/2 glass or 3 cups
Salt 2 tsp
Paprika 2 tsp
Coriander Powder 1/2 Flat tsp
Garlic 1 tsp
Garam Masala - Powder 1/2 Flat tsp
Turmeric Powder 1/4 tsp
Ginger 1 tsp
Garam Masala - Whole As provided in description


1. Heat oil and brown onions (medium heat)
2. Add green chillies and continus cooking
3. Add garam masala whole and mix
4. Add tomatoes and continue cooking till they turn mushy
5. Add chicken and cook till light brown
6. Add potatoes and continue cooking
7. Add spices and mix
8. Add water, cover and turn heat low
9. Let it cook for 1/2 hour to 45 minutes
10. 5 minutes before done, add coriander leaves and cover again
11. Turn heat off, keep it covered for another 5 minutes
12. Serve with naan, chappatti or white rice
