Creamed Potatoes

Creamed Potatoes - Recipe is essentially 1 per potato. So, if you make 3 – 4 potatoes make 3 or 4 times the sauce.

Ingredients

Potato

· 1 Large Potato

White Sauce: (regular white sauce)

· 1 Tablespoon Butter

· 1 Tablespoon Flour

· Salt and Pepper to taste (1/8 teaspoon)

· ¾ cup milk (not skim)

White Sauce: (Alternative Version 1) - Same as above EXCEPT

· ¼ cup Milk

· ½ cup of Heavy Cream

· 1/3 – ½ Cup of Shredded Asiago Cheese

White Sauce: (Alternative Version 2) - Same as above EXCEPT

· 1 or 2 Cloves of Roasted Garlic (See Below)

Roasted Garlic

· Garlic Bulb

· Olive Oil

Preparation

1. Cut Potatoes into cubes and boil in water until tender but not too soft.

2. Drain water and return to pot and add sauce



White Sauce: (regular white sauce)

1. Melt butter in pan

2. Stir in flour and spices til smooth

3. Add milk

4. Cook over medium heat til thick (10 min), Stir occasionally. Can do this in the microwave (5 Min)

White Sauce: (Alternative Version 1) - Same as above EXCEPT

1. Make Sauce

2. Sprinkle Cheese on top and stir in til smooth

White Sauce: (Alternative Version 2) - Same as above EXCEPT

1. Add Roasted Garlic to Pan and Smash til smooth and Pasty

2. Melt butter in pan and stir into Garlic til evenly mixed

3. Continue with rest of recipe



Roasted Garlic

1. Cut top off of Bulb.

2. Place Bulb on Aluminum Foil

3. Pour about 1 Tablespoon of Olive oil on top

4. Dash of Salt / Pepper if desired

5. Wrap Bulb in Foil

6. Place in Oven or Toaster Over for 1 Hour around 350 degrees
