Chicken pieces for 500gm
3 medium sized Tomatoes
2 medium sized Onions
Garlic paste 1 tbs
Ginger paste 1 tbs
Cut ginger in thin slices (Julian style) 2 tbs (this ginger and garlic is extra)
Red chilli powder – 1 tablespoon
Salt as per your taste
3 Green chillies
Corriander powder - 1 teaspoon
Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
Marinate chicken with yoghurt, salt, lemon juice, black pepper for 1 - 2 hrs.
Cut onions in thin slices. Heat oil on medium heat in pot and put onions slices in it and fry them very light brown.
Add some ginger (1 tbs) with some cumin seeds.
After 2 minutes add chicken pieces in it and cook until they become white or until the rawness goes away.
Add ginger and garlic paste. Add salt, red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin.
Take 2 green chillies. Take out the seeds and add everthing inside except the skin of chillies. Cut the green chilli skin into fine pieces and add them separately.
Add tomato(cut into small pieces) and ginger(1/2 tablespoon – Julian style cut)
Mix everything well, Cover it and cook on low flame for 5 – 10 mins, if needed add very little water (less than 1/2 cup)
Optional – Add coriander leaves, some more green chillies and chopped ginger pieces for garnishing.
Serve hot with naan or chapati
