Murgh Pullao (Chicken & Rice)

Ingredients

ater 3 cups (Twice the amount of rice)
Onions 1 (White one, sliced thin)
Garlic 1 tsp. (Paste or chopped)
Ginger 1 tsp. (Paste or chopped)
Oil 2-4 Serving spoons
Chicken Whole 1 (Cut into curry pieces)
Cumin Powder 1 tsp
Coriander Powder 1 tsp
Garam Masala - Whole A little bit
Salt 11/2 tsp

Preparation

1 In a deep pot, heat oil on medium heat
2 Add onion and let it turn brown
3 Add whole garam masala and stir
4 Add chicken, mix and cook for 5 minutes or so
5 Add ginger, garlic and other spices
6 Stir and mix well
7 Add rice(after draining all the water from it), stir and cook for 5-10 minutes
8 Add water, stir and let it cook for 1/2 an hour
9 Put a wet washcloth or a wet paper towel over the pot
10 Cover the pot, lower the heat to medium-low
11 Cook for another 10-15 minutes
12 Serve warm with Achaar, Raita, Chutney or Salad etc
