Daal Ghost (Meat with Lentils)

Ingredients

Lentils 250 g. (Moong & Masoor/red & yellow)
Green Chilli(es) 3-4 (small, no need to cut)
Garam Masala # 2 1/2 tsp
Kadhi Patta 3-4 (As it is)
Onions 1 (Sliced)
Meat 1/2 Kg
Tomatoes 2 (Large, cut into squares)
Garlic 1 tsp. (Paste)
Chilli Powder 1 tsp
Cumin Powder 1 tsp. (Can also use cumin seeds)
Turmeric Powder 1/2 tsp
Salt 1 tsp
Ginger 1 tsp. (Paste)

Preparation

1 Soak lentils in water for 30 minutes
2 Wash and put in a saucepan with turmeric and water
3 Bring to boil, then reduce heat for 15-20 minutes
4 When lentils are soft, set aside
5 Heat oil in pressure cooker or saucepan
6 Add onion and fry until it is soft & golden brown
7 Now add chilli, giger, garlic, coriander, cumin, salt and fry for 2 minutes
8 Add meat and water, cover for one hour (10-15 minutes in cooker) or until the meat is tender
9 Add lentils, tomatoes, kadhi patta and garam masala
10 Bring it for boiling, stirring it for 10 mints...garnished with chopped coriander leaves and green chillies
11 Serve with boiled rice
